condi vs crack mother

the ny times today had a choice between placing two black women on the cover.
one was condi rice, sec.of state, impeccably dressed, well-groomed, sitting as
head of the un american delegation.the other was a crack mother who has been in and
out of jail.they went for the market, placing a black crack mother on the cover,
thereby providing entertainment and reinforcing the comfortable stereotypes without
which the lives of their upscale white subscribers would be duller than they are.
of course, the article didn't question why white crack mothers don't make the cover
of the nytimes. it probably comes as a surprise to the readers of this blog that
whites do crack,because the media lie is that while whites do powder,blacks do crack.
whites do more crack than blacks, they just don't get sentenced for it. Manumit
